Explore Human Behavior
Are you unsure of your major but curious about subjects like sociology, history, psychology, economics, or global studies? Do you want to understand why people make the choices they do? Then the liberal arts: social and behavioral sciences program at Allan Hancock College may be right for you.
This program explores key concepts, theories, and methods from social and behavioral science disciplines, helping students better understand themselves and society. Class discussions encourage critical thinking about human behavior and how societies and social groups function.

This program will help you to:
- understand human behavior in relation to human social, political, and economic institutions
- develop individual responsibility, personal integrity, and respect for diverse people and cultures
- study the past to understand and analyze present and future issues, problems, and projects
